Divorce Questionnaire Instructions

If you are going through a divorce then you have many questions and anxieties about what will happen in your divorce. You probably want to know how long it will take and how much it will cost. You want to know how it will effect your kids and/or how you will come out of this financially. Most of these answers would require a crystal ball.

At the Divorce Mediation Institute of Utah we have designed a Questionnaire that measures the two factors that determine how long your divorce will take and ultimately how much it might cost. First we will find out how complex your divorce is.

You might agree on everything but if you have a lot of complexity then you may need a mediator to walk you through the maze of divorce and make sure your agreements will not cause problems in the future and also ensure that there are not things that you overlooked like tax consequences of splitting certain assets.

Second we will measure the amount of conflict. You may be low on the complexity rating meaning you don't have much to fight about but you are both very polarized against each other over who will get the sofa. Of course most couples are some where in between.

Please take the time to read each statement carefully and check the box if the statement is true. Marked answers will be assigned a point and a total will be calculated. Your score and answers will be reviewed by one of our mediators and an evaluation will be performed. You may either receive an email explaining your score or you can request a mediator call you to give you a more detailed response and allows you to ask questions.

ALL INFORMATION WILL BE CONFIDENTIAL
