Daniel Bass began his career as a trial lawyer in Florida in 1968, after receiving his undergraduate and law degree from the University of Florida. He stopped practicing law in 1993 when he became certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Family Mediator and the next year as a Certified Mediator in all civil matters.

Dan was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 1972. He was the youngest member elected to the Legislature, at that time.

Since Dan has become a mediator, he has mediated over 4000 cases. He has been a lecturer, mediation panelist, presenter at Mediation seminars and taught courses in mediation. Dan was the past President of the Association of South Florida Mediators.

When Dan moved to Utah, he sought to continue helping people solve their problems through mediation. Dan is a Master Mediator in Utah and is listed on the Court Roster of approved mediators, who are required to adhere to ethical guidelines and be familiar with Utah Codes and guidelines.

Dan is married to Jacquelyn and he has two children and two grandchildren. When Dan isn't mediating, he enjoys working out with weight training, golf, skiing and riding his Harley Davidson.
